Software Rebuilds
The software your business needs every day is old, slow, and only one person knows how it works. Maybe that person already left. We rebuild it with modern tools and keep all of your data.
The problem
Old software can work fine for years. Then one day it doesn't.
It only runs on one computer
The system is installed on an old PC in the back office. If that computer breaks, or a Windows update causes problems, your team can't work.
The person who built it is gone
A former employee or contractor built it years ago. There are no instructions, and nobody wants to change anything in case it breaks.
Slow and getting worse
It slows down as you add data, has problems when two people use it at once, and can't be used from home or a phone. The company that made it stopped updating it, or keeps raising the price.
What we build
A new system that does everything the old one did, and fixes what never worked.
Everything that works now
We go through the old system screen by screen, so we don't miss what your team relies on. That includes the odd steps nobody ever wrote down.
Modern, secure software
The new version runs in a web browser, works for many people at once, and can be used from the office, from home, or on a job site.
All of your data, moved
Every customer, job, and record comes over from the old system. We check the counts and totals before you switch.
How it works
-
1
We study the old system
We look at every screen, report, and file. We talk with the people who use it and write down how everything works.
-
2
We build the new one
Your team keeps using the old system while we build. Nothing changes for them until the new system is tested and ready.
-
3
We switch over carefully
We move the data, run both systems at the same time for a short while if needed, and switch when you're ready.
What changes for you
Not tied to one computer
It runs on secure servers with regular backups. If a computer breaks, you log in from another one.
Written down and owned by you
We document how the new system works, and you own the code. You don't have to rely on one person anymore.
Faster daily work
Screens load quickly, several people can work at once, and your team can use it from a phone.
Common questions
Have a different question? Book a short call and we'll answer it.
We don't really know how our old system works. Can you still rebuild it?
Yes, and that's common. We can learn a lot from the screens, the reports, and the data itself. Your staff can explain the rest.
We're locked out of our old database. Can you get into it?
If the data belongs to your business, we can often recover it. We'll ask you to confirm that you own it first.
Do we have to stop using the old system during the rebuild?
No. You keep working as normal. We only switch over once the new system is tested and your data has been checked.
Should we rebuild or buy something new?
Sometimes buying is the better choice, and we'll tell you if we think so. Rebuilding makes sense when the way you work is specific to your business and nothing you can buy fits it.
